Choosing comfort over obedience is not simply a mistake. It is a sin. Drawing from 1 Peter 4,
Christians are called to arm themselves with the same purpose Christ had when He suffered in the
flesh. Jesus consistently chose the Father's will over His own, and following Him means doing the
same. The world's way of life is passing away, and returning to it is both spiritually dangerous and a
waste of the life we have been given. Agape love demands that we give ourselves fully to one another,
using our gifts and serving without coasting. The joy found in faithful obedience far outlasts anything
the world can offer, and what waits on the other side of that obedience is worth everything.

AWAY TEAM - WK 8
Doing the right thing does not always earn applause. Sometimes it brings opposition, rejection, and
real pain. But according to 1 Peter 3:13-23, suffering for righteousness is not a sign of God's disfavor.
It is one of the ways He accomplishes His purposes in the world. Righteous suffering fulfills God's
will, defeats evil, and wins the lost. Christ Himself charted this path first, bearing the worst possible
punishment so that we could be brought to God. Because He suffered for us, we are now called to
walk that same road with gentleness, a clear conscience, and unshakable trust in Him.

AWAY TEAM - WK 7
The family is one of the most overlooked forces in the world, and yet when Christ is at the center of a home, it becomes an unstoppable force for good. Drawing from 1 Peter 3:1-7, four qualities make a Christ-centered home unbeatable: sacrifice, humility, grace, and mission. Wives are called to invest in inner beauty, use words wisely, and trust God as they yield to their husband's leadership. Husbands are called to truly know their wives, use their strength to serve and protect, and lead their homes spiritually through prayer and intentional love. When both spouses follow their God-given roles, the home becomes a powerful witness to a world that desperately needs to see what love and grace look like in practice. The family is hiding in plain sight, and with Christ at the center, it changes everything around it.
