Ep. 12 Flowers & Tea Season Finale Ft. Former MA Commissioners & Acting Chair, Ava Concepcion, Esq.

For the final episode of the season, the ladies of Flowers & Tea took the show on the road to Boston NECANN and sat down for a LIVE show at the Hynes Convention Center with Ava C. Concepcion, Esq. — Former Commissioner & Acting Chair of the Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission. And now that she’s no longer a public official and this is her first public speaking engagement since stepping down…...she was ready for full transparency. What started as a intense familial conversation quickly turned into a high-level, deeply honest discussion around cannabis politics, policy, equity, power, and the realities of trying to build fair systems in an industry still finding its footing. From being taken from as a child and feeling that direct impact .....to the emotional weight behind the work… to the legal and political battles happening behind closed doors… to the changes that became law and the ongoing fight for true equity — the conversation got REAL.Called a pedophile protector, frequently making the Boston Globe, and being a contributor to the AG's lack of sleep.... the stories are wild and endless, but sadly people in cannabis are not always transparent and honest -- however that's not the case here. This wasn’t surface-level cannabis talk. This was big lawyer talk.Big policy talk.Big impact talk.Filmed in front of a live audience in Boston, this episode captures exactly what Flowers & Tea has become: a soft landing for hard conversations. As the ladies take a short break until the end of the summer, they’re leaving the season on one hell of a note. This is NOT the episode to miss. 🎙️✨

Ep. 6 Season Finale - When the Tea Boils Over: Closures, Consequences & Common Ground

Episode 6 • Flowers & Tea - Season Finale - When the Tea Boils Over: Closures, Consequences & Common GroundThe ladies of Flowers & Tea close out the inaugural season the only way they know how — raw, unfiltered, and necessary. In this season finale, it’s just the women. No guest. No soft edges. Just an honest reckoning with what’s happening in cannabis right now. They go in on the wave of dispensary closures and the state’s alarming lack of acknowledgment, sentiment, or meaningful reporting on the impact. They unpack what it means to support your neighbors in a time of economic strain, rising uncertainty, and silence from those in power. The conversation widens — touching on ICE, community responsibility, and the moral weight of policy decisions—before Gretchen takes the soapbox to call out the industry’s chronic failure to invest in cannabis education as infrastructure and a smarter way to move the needle. For the first time, an MSO leader, a small local operator, a lobbyist/publicist, and a medical operator find themselves saying the same thing — out loud, together. The unison is unexpected, but it proves a powerful point....common ground exists when ego steps aside.Dr. Beast and Gretchen also share their sincere frustration with the industry as a whole and openly question whether stepping away may be the only act of self-preservation left. This is the most honest dialogue Flowers & Tea has ever had. This is what it sounds like when the table is set — and then flipped. The home of the P3 (Pot, Politics & Policy) takes flight one last time this season.🎥 Season Finale — Do not miss this.🌸 Flowers & Tea: Where the conversations don’t whisper.
