September 1989 über der Nordsee ereignet, sollte später die Luftfahrt verändern: Eine Chartermaschine der norwegischen Partnair bricht ohne für die Crew oder Passagiere erkennbare Vorzeichen in der Luft auseinander. Erst fällt das Seitenleitwerk ab, dann wird die Maschine vom Typ Convair CV-580 nicht mehr steuerbar und bricht in etwa 3.000 Metern Höhe auseinander. Alle 55 Menschen an Bord sterben bei dem Absturz. Partnair-Flug 394 sollte Reederei-Angestellte zu einer Schiffstaufe nach Hamburg bringen. </p><p>In der 43. Folge von Flugforensik behandeln Benjamin Denes und Andreas Spaeth gleich zwei Phänomene zum ersten Mal: Die Gefahr des aeroelastischen Flatterns, das letztlich auch zu diesem Absturz geführt hat, analysieren die Flugforensik mit Prof. Dr. Lorenz Tichy vom DLR Institut für Aeroelastik in Göttingen. Und über die Ursache für das Flattern - nämlich nicht zertifizierte Ersatzteile sprechen die Flugforensiker mit dem US-Airline-Berater Roy Resto, einem Experten für sogenannte "Suspected Unapproved Januar 2025 stoßen in unmittelbarer Nähe des Washingtoner Flughafens Reagan National ein Bombardier Regionaljet CRJ 700 und ein Blackhawk-Armeehubschrauber zusammen. Beim Zusammenstoß der beiden Fluggeräte sterben alle 67 Insassen. Die Begleitumstände dieser Katastrophe werfen unangenehme Fragen auf. Wer hat zugelassen, dass dieses Unglück geschehen konnte, obwohl es Dutzende, ja Hunderte Warnhinweise im Vorfeld gab?</p><p>So einen vergleichsweise aktuellen Fall haben Benjamin Denes und Andreas Spaeth bisher noch nie behandelt bei Flugforensik.
