[…] When it was erected by at least 2,500 BC, outside of today's Cairo, the Great Pyramid was a spectacular structure. It was said to be covered in sheets of smooth white limestone and possibly topped by a golden triangle. It would have been a truly breathtaking sight. Meredith Brand is an Egyptologist from the American University in Cairo and very familiar with these ancient monuments. We're here in front of the Great Pyramid of Hufu. This massive structure is 93.5 million cubic feet of stone. It's 481 feet tall, and its size is 71 feet in length.
