<p>Boardsof Canada are a Scottish electronic music duo consisting of brothers Mike Sandison and Marcus Eoin. They released their debut album "Music Has the Right to Children" in 1998 and now after hiatus of 13 years they are set to release their fifth studio album "Inferno" on May 29th. </p><p>As a preview of the album Boards of Canada and Warp Records hosted official Inferno album listening parties on May 22, 2026, ahead of the album's release. The exclusive, ticketed sessions took place simultaneously across seven citiesglobally: Tokyo, Berlin, Barcelona, London, Glasgow, New York, and Los Angeles.</p><p>One half of the Four Idle Hands team (Michael) assisted by gig photographer and music enthusiast Craig Chisholm procured the tickets and headed out to the Glasgow event, held at the Vic Assembly rooms at the school of art.</p><p>In this episode we discuss the event, thoughts on the new album and what we think of listening parties in general.</p><p>If you follow four idle hands on instagram and bluesky we will post some photos of the event.</p><p></p>
