09/27/2026 - Setting Reminders Pt. 2 - Exodus 10:8-11
In this sermon on Exodus 20:8–11, the message continues a study on the Fourth Commandment, encouraging believers to view God's law with love rather than as a burdensome constraint. Beginning with Psalm 119:97, the podcast explores how observing the Sabbath—or the Lord's Day—meets vital human needs revealed through time: centering our lives on God to prevent spiritual drift and granting essential rest to limited creatures. Turning to Deuteronomy 5:12–15, the message connects the Sabbath to God's redemption of Israel from Egypt, demonstrating how the command serves as a pointer to the gospel. Listeners are invited to step off the exhausting treadmill of self-reliant striving and enter into true, lasting rest through faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ.
