This is a video I made in October of 2025. I’m explaining the connections between Halloween and All Saints’ Day, as well as how neither are really connected to other pagan holidays that may have existed in the past.

Why celebrate St. Michael and all the angels? #michaelmas #stmichael
September 29 is the Feast of St. Michael and All Angels. We have a day like this to help us remember that the angels are actually active in this world even though we don't see them with our physical eyes. God the Father is the creator of both what is visible and invisible, and thus the angels are created beings of a different kind from us people. But they are servants of God none the less and they can be sent to aid us in this world.#anglican #christianity #theology

How can you PRAY for America? #anglican #bookofcommonprayer
How can you pray for America? In the Book of Common Prayer, there is a wonderful prayer that can be used by one and all for praying for our country. It covers recognition of God's providence, our need for grace and obedience, a desire to be saved from discord and confusion, the need for wisdom to be given to our leaders, and a plea to not forget God when things go well and when they go bad. This prayer is one needed for our nation today and I commend it to one and all to begin praying and reflecting upon in their own lives as they consider praying for our land..#anglican #christianity #theology #prayer

Healing is more than Physical, The Rites of Healing in the BCP
What are the Rites of Healing? What does forgiveness have to do with physical healing? How does the spiritual world affect the physical world? All of these things are addressed within the liturgies of the 2019 Book of Common Prayer. The spiritual and the physical are brought together in an amazing way in these rites found in the prayer book and are understood through the prayers that are used.

The WHAT and WHY of Marriage and Children? #anglican #HolyMatrimony
What is marriage? What comes out of marriage? How do children relate to marriage? Why is this so controversial? The Prayer book teaches us what we should believe about marriage and children. It helps us to understand what the Bible teaches us about the reality and nature of holy matrimony. When we simply look at the service of Holy Matrimony and the Thanksgiving for the birth or adoption of a child, we discover that the Prayer Book reveals to us what marriage should look like and how we can become what God desires us to be in our married lives.

Is Baptism a pipeline to Confirmation?
Is there a secret baptism to confirmation pipeline that needs to be exposed? Baptism and Confirmation are two services that complement one another in our life as Christians. They remind us of the need for the Spirit to be active in our lives and for him to come to us. In baptism the Spirit comes with the water through the putting of God's name upon the baptized and in confirmation, the Spirit comes through the laying on of hands from the bishop with prayers for the filling of the Holy Spirit. These practices continue to undergird and strengthen the faith of believers and enable us to walk more fully with Jesus throughout our days.#baptism #confirmation #theology #anglicantheology

This is part two of an ongoing series exploring the inside of the 2019 Book of Common Prayer. In this episode, I look at the service of Holy Communion and walk through what happens in it. Don't be SCARED of Christmas
Don't be scared to celebrate Christmas. Regardless of where some of our traditions may have come, those origins don't matter. We are worshiping Jesus, the Lord and Savior, the Son of God made man! Though there is little historical precedent that our traditions came from pagan roots, it doesn't matter at this point. Our intention is not the pagan's intention. Any possible connections have been stripped and removed. This day is about Jesus and we should proudly proclaim his birth to the world that the world might know salvation through this Jesus.
