Sudden Death in the Global South: Why a Glacial Meltdown is a Moral Matter
August's catastrophic glacial meltdown and resulting floods in Nepal raise deep moral questions. The issue of climate change has clearly moved beyond debates over whether it is real or how to ameliorate it and is now a matter of how the world, especially developed nations, responds to the human and ecological results of climate change. Vulnerable, relatively poor populations are often on the firing line of climate disasters caused largely by the emissions of wealthy nations in the Global North.
We're all in this together. Everyone is affected. Frank explores in this episode how we can move towards greater solidarity with those most vulnerable.
