   Episode 53- Down Goes Everyone

College football just had its wildest Saturday of the season, and the fallout could reshape the playoff race, the Heisman debate, and a handful of coaching jobs. DiJon Roberts and Colin break down the chaos from Ohio State surviving Indiana, Notre Dame’s gut-punch loss at BYU, Alabama getting bullied at Tennessee, Georgia’s collapse against Auburn, Florida stunning Texas, and Nebraska’s latest missed chance to prove it belongs. Ohio State’s win over Indiana sparks a bigger question: is Jeremiah Smith now carrying the Buckeyes on his back, and can they survive without Julian Sayin? The conversation gets into Indiana’s legitimacy as a playoff team, Ohio State’s brutal remaining schedule, and why one receiver may be about to stamp himself as the Heisman front-runner. Notre Dame and BYU turns into a larger debate about clock management, officiating, and whether the Irish really deserve a playoff spot after surviving only on the edge. DiJon and Colin also unpack Alabama’s physical loss at Tennessee, where the Volunteers outplayed the Tide in the trenches and exposed serious questions about play-calling, young quarterback play, and whether a third loss would end Bama’s playoff hopes. Then comes Georgia’s stunning upset at Auburn, a game defined by turnovers, control of the line of scrimmage, and a program-changing win for the Tigers. You'll also hear why Arch Manning is under more pressure than ever after Texas fell to Florida, why some fans are already questioning Steve Sarkisian’s quarterback development, and why Nebraska’s inability to beat ranked opponents has Matt Rhule’s future under a microscope. The episode closes with a heated reaction to the AP Poll and the looming 24-team playoff, with both hosts arguing that college football is trading away its most valuable feature - the regular season drama. Perfect for anyone who lives for ranking debates, playoff chaos, coaching hot seats, and the kind of Saturday that leaves the whole sport upside down.

Episode 52- Week 5 Recap (with Colin Ochs)

Notre Dame’s ranking, Alabama’s rise, and Georgia’s place in the title picture all collide in one blunt, high-energy college football debate. If you care about AP poll chaos, SEC power rankings, and what actually separates contenders from frauds, this one is for you. DiJon Roberts brings TV sports reporter Colin Ochs onto Free Game after issuing him an open challenge online, and the conversation immediately turns into a no-holds-barred breakdown of the sport’s hottest arguments. Colin, a local news sports reporter and Georgia alum who has spent time in Panama City and Columbus, doesn’t shy away from the hard takes, defending Notre Dame’s top-three case while pushing back on the idea that early rankings should be treated like gospel. Together, they break down: Why Notre Dame’s résumé, defense, and Marcus Freeman’s ceiling make them a legit playoff threat Why AP poll logic feels inconsistent when teams like Indiana, Miami, Alabama, and BYU are handled so differently How Alabama’s defense, Keelan Russell’s emergence, and the Georgia matchup could shape the SEC race Why Ohio State’s ceiling may depend on Jeremiah Smith staying healthy and dominant Whether Miami’s transfer-portal approach is the blueprint Dabo Swinney should have already embraced If Florida was overhyped, Missouri was underrated, or the SEC is just cannibalizing itself The episode also gets into Nebraska’s chance to upset Indiana, why USC’s long-term direction under Lincoln Riley is under fire, and why the idea of a 24-team playoff has both hosts drawing a hard line. Colin argues for a 16-team format that keeps conference championships meaningful, while DiJon worries bigger brackets will dilute the regular season and make scheduling tough non-conference games pointless. This is the kind of episode college football fans live for - sharp opinions, real football context, and zero interest in playing nice with bad takes. Perfect for anyone trying to make sense of the rankings before the season’s biggest games settle everything on the field. Follow Colin on Instagram @colinochstv
