Why God Can’t Use What You Won’t Let Go Of
#ScottThomas #Imagine #MosesStaff Are you holding back what God wants to use?In this message, Lead Pastor Scott Thomas examines the story of Moses in Exodus 3–4 to uncover how God takes the ordinary, overlooked, and seemingly unqualified parts of our lives and transforms them into supernatural tools for His glory. We often make excuses about our time, age, qualifications, or resources. But when God asked Moses, "What is that in your hand?", Moses was holding a simple shepherd’s staff—a piece of dead wood. When Moses surrendered that staff, it shifted from being "Moses’ staff" to becoming "the staff of God".Discover how releasing control to God turns your ordinary resources into a weapon against the enemy and a living witness of God’s faithfulness for generations to come.📖 KEY MESSAGE BREAKDOWN & TAKEAWAYS:* More Potential Than You Realize: Just like a modern smartphone holds millions of times more computing power than the Apollo 11 moon landing computer, we often hold massive God-given potential while barely tapping into it.* The 4-Step Process of Surrender: 1. Throw It Down: Surrender your life, talents, and resources. As long as you hold onto control, your life lives under a self-imposed lid. "Surrender always feels dangerous before it feels powerful." 2. Pick It Up: Trust and obey God in the illogical. Faith requires stepping out beyond your comfort zone. 3. Lift It High: Serve and worship with all-out commitment. Lean on community when you get tired, just as Aaron and Hur held up Moses’ arms in battle. 4. Pass It On: Build a legacy by sharing the testimony of God's miracles with the next generation.* A Shift in Ownership: In Exodus 4:2, it was "Moses’ staff". In Exodus 4:20, after surrender, it became "the staff of God". Nothing changed about the stick, but everything changed with who owned it.📜 KEY SCRIPTURE REFERENCES:* Exodus 3:10 & 4:2, 4:20 (Moses, the staff, and the call to deliver Israel)* Matthew 16 (Denying self and following Christ)* Hebrews 11:6 (Without faith, it is impossible to please God)* 1 Corinthians 1:27 (God chooses the weak things of the world to shame the strong)-------------------------------Free Life Chapel is here to help others discover and live the Free Life in Christ!Learn more about our church at https://www.freelifechapel.orgStay Connect on Socials!Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/freelifechapelFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/freelifechapel/Pastor Scott Thomas | Free Life Chapel | Lakeland, Florida
