Ep10: Old Song Made New
Cover Stories is an idea that’s been banging around in my head for years. But I was always too afraid to actually make something of it.
Cover Stories tells the saga of childhood bands told by now-adults. These adults then take an active part in covering one of those childhood songs with the help of a producer and professional musicians — bringing new life to an old dream. The series will take people back to the time in their lives when they felt free to be creative in any way they wanted.
In order to FREE THE IDEA, Jeff Möehle and I decided to create a bit of a pilot episode. In this podcast we re-imagine a song we first penned and performed when we were 8 years old: “Sunlight Makes Me Mellow.”

Anyway, welcome! (Are you the type of person who says “Anyway” or “Anyways”?). We, I, appreciate that you’re here. Now I’m apparently typing a podcast instead of speaking it out loud? You can and should definitely listen to this podcast (unless you’re the type of person who says “Anywho” unironically).
NOTE: It’s a terrible idea trying to operate technology while under the influence of cannabis. It’s as if our real, natural selves are allergic to screens…well, maybe this side of me is trying to tell (us) something.

What TODD and BEEBY have in common, though, is this: By sharing your ideas with others, you create idea flow. Achieving this flow of “inspiration in, inspiration out,” frees you to move on to newer, bigger, and better ideas.
For the full experience, I recommend you listen to Episodes 1 and 2 back-to-back. It might be more than you want to handle, but it will help the whole concept makes sense.
