<p>So often many people remain silent about the abuse they experience at the hands of their employers, and thus it remains only whispers among the employee's. This only serves to strengthen the myth and legend of the power the employer has to continue their abuse and keep their employee's quiet and afraid. </p> <p>The moment I spoke up about the clear discriminatory act committed against me by my admin, I predicted that I would be fired as a result. I documented my case every step of the way. I went through every appropriate channel that they offered to me to avoid discrimination. Understanding that it was most likely a farce, I know that it is hard for people to believe how ugly institutionalized discrimination is, so I went through every channel to show how broken the GRPS institution of education is....and how the members of the institution regardless of race, play a role in keeping it that way. </p>
