We live in a world that tells women they can simply reactively throw a business together, keep pushing through, and somehow create a nourishing maternity leave on the back end. But that is not how it works. As an entrepreneur, you do not really get maternity leave without intention.
I’m walking you through the foundations underneath the plan my husband and I have built over many years, from financial cushion and support systems to simplifying my business, preparing for the fourth trimester, and creating a masculine-provider-shaped business that can hold me when I step away.
I also talk about the deeper biological reality of pregnancy, postpartum, and why women need real support in this season. Not because we are weak, but because bringing life into the world is sacred, demanding, and worthy of being protected.
This is not a perfect postpartum checklist. It is a conversation about forethought, values, marriage, business structure, and the kind of life that can actually hold a woman as she becomes a mother.
