Die dritte und letzte Folge unserer Reihe über Gin befasst sich zuerst einmal mit verschiedenen Gins und die Stile, die sie repräsentieren - in der Verkostung. Wir sind geübte und oft berufene Juroren in Spirituosen-Wettbewerben, und erläutern euch, wie wir an solche Produkte herangehen, was uns wichtig ist, und wie welche Stile schmecken. Im zweiten Teil der Folge besprechen wir den Gin-Tonic als DEN Gin Longdrink, sowie weitere Cocktails und Mixvariationen mit Gin.

Gin - Botanicals und Destillation (Teil 2)

In der zweiten Folge unserer kleinen Reihe zum Thema Gin spreche ich wieder mit Philipp Schwarz und Friedrich Springob, diesmal zum Thema der Gin-Herstellung. Aus welchen Rohstoffen kann man Distilled Gin oder London Dry Gin herstellen, wie setzt man diese an, wie kommt man überhaupt erst zu einem Rezept? Und wenn der Gin dann angesetzt ist, auf welche Arten kann man ihn auf den in der Kleinbrennerei üblichen Brenngeräten abdestillieren, und wie muss man das Destillat dann weiter behandeln, bis ein fertiger Gin in der Flasche ist? Wir gehen auf die üblichen Fragen ein, die wir in unseren Seminaren häufig gestellt bekommen, und die auch im Gin-Buch von Friedrich und Philipp behandelt werden.
