Haunted Church in the Appalachian Mountains | A Listener's Paranormal Experience in North Carolina

This week on Frequency Freaks, we share a chilling fan-submitted ghost story that takes us inside one of North Carolina's most unsettling haunted locations — a historic church in Canton, nestled in the Appalachian Mountains. Amber joins host Izzy Gomez to recount the paranormal experiences that changed her from a total skeptic into someone questioning everything she thought she knew about the supernatural. During a service trip to a reportedly haunted church, Amber initially dismissed the ghost stories — until the energy shifted. After openly discussing the possibility of a spirit inside the building, the atmosphere became heavy. The hallway felt watched. The basement carried an overwhelming sense of dread. And what happened next made it impossible to ignore. In this episode, we explore: • The moment the church's energy changed after mentioning a ghost • Feeling an unseen presence watching from the hallway • A shadowy figure spotted in the living room • Playing "Ghosts in the Graveyard" inside a haunted church • Hearing the unsettling sound of a baby crying • Why the second year brought even more intense paranormal activity • The psychological and supernatural pull of haunted religious locations Amber describes feeling unsafe during her stay — especially in the basement, where the dread felt strongest. Yet despite the fear, curiosity about the paranormal continues to draw her back. Are haunted locations in the Appalachian Mountains tied to history, belief, or something darker? Do spirits respond when acknowledged? And why do some people experience supernatural encounters only after opening themselves up to the possibility? If you love real ghost stories, paranormal encounters, haunted churches, unexplained phenomena, and horror podcasts that dive into true supernatural experiences — this episode will stay with you. New mini-series coming soon… but first, this haunted location might make you rethink what you believe.

Are Spirits Created by Belief? The Hat Man & Paranormal Entities at Sip Coffee House (Finale)

This is our final chapter inside Sip Coffee House — and we're confronting the biggest questions yet. In this episode, we break down the most compelling paranormal experiences from our ghost hunting investigation, focusing on the three primary entities connected to the location: Ronnie, The Lady, and the infamous Hat Man. The Hat Man is one of the most widely reported supernatural shadow figures in paranormal history — often described as a tall, dark entity wearing a fedora or wide-brimmed hat, frequently associated with sleep paralysis, fear, and an overwhelming sense of dread. But is the Hat Man at Sip Coffee House the same global phenomenon… or something entirely different? We explore: ·       The emotional and tragic story behind Ronnie ·       Whether spirits can attach themselves to objects or spaces ·       Energy cleansing methods (including bringing salt on investigations) ·       The possibility of time loops and overlapping realities in ghost encounters ·       And the chilling implications of Tulpa theory — the idea that focused belief and collective energy can manifest paranormal entities into existence If belief creates energy… and energy attracts spirits… could the supernatural activity at Sip Coffee House be amplified by attention itself? Using evidence gathered through spirit communication tools, we revisit our ghost hunting sessions and analyze whether these spirits are independent entities, thought-forms, or something that exists between dimensions. This episode blends real ghost stories, paranormal investigation, supernatural theory, and emotional history into one final deep dive into Sip Coffee House. Are we dealing with spirits? Shadow entities? Manifested energy? Or overlapping timelines? If you're fascinated by ghost hunting, paranormal entities, the Hat Man phenomenon, Tulpa theory, time loops, and the psychology of belief in the supernatural — this episode is for you. And next… we're taking our investigation somewhere even darker.
