Last episode, Sol Garcia explained executive function. This episode, Lorielle actually went and did something about it.
After that conversation, she took Sol's executive functioning assessment and got her number. Then she started the 84th Hour ; Sol's weekly planning method. Every Thursday at 8pm, you do a 30-minute brain dump onto index cards. One thought per card, no sorting while you go. When the timer stops, you sort, prioritize, hand-write your week, and put your single top priority card on top of your phone so it's the first thing you see before you look at anything else. Lorielle and Provi get into what her results actually looked like, how the 84th Hour is already shifting how she moves through the week, and what it feels like to stop fighting your own brain and actually work with it. If you listened to Part 1 and wondered whether any of this holds up in real life — this episode is your answer.

Episode 27: Still My Baby, But Make It Age Appropriate
She's eight and already has opinions about her outfits. She's headed to middle school and suddenly needs space you're not sure you're ready to give.
This week Lorielle and Provi are answering two questions that came straight from the moms at our Mama Needs A Minute event. First up: girls' clothing at 8 years old. Where is the line between age-appropriate and too grown? And where do you even shop without fighting about it every single morning? Then they get into the middle school years: the independence, the new social stuff, and what it feels like when you realize your daughter is moving through a world you can't fully see anymore. If you've got a girl somewhere between 8 and 13, this one's going to feel familiar.

Episode 26: Executive Function or Dysfunction with Sol Garcia
Why did I forget the Valentine's cards? Why can't I just start the report that's due in a week? Why do I know exactly what I should do and still not do it?
This week, we're sitting down with Sol Garcia, Ph.D. to talk about executive function — the brain skills that are the actual bridge between "I know" and "I did." Sol breaks down all nine executive function skills, explains why so many of us are walking around exhausted and ashamed of things that are actually neurological, and gets real about hormones, postpartum, and the toll of masking when you're a high-achieving mom who looks fine on the outside. If you've ever called yourself lazy, scattered, or "just bad at this" — this episode might change how you talk to yourself for good.
