[…] And I learned about Robert Niemeyer. He is a grief researcher. He's amazing. And I went to one of his trainings down in Portland. And one of the concepts he talks about is continuing bonds. And so often people had thought of grief as this like, or death is this final goodbye and closing the door. And that never felt great, right? Like that doesn't feel good. And so he had talked about continuing bonds and this idea of Grief is about learning how to say hello again in a new way. And that that has stuck with me 14 years later.
