Shay Code-Episode 75 | Code Wines | Wine Talk

Shay Code began his quest to become a winemaker years ago, with his time farming in Saskatchewan. There he fell in love with farming. A trip to France began a perfect marriage of a love of farming and a love for great French wine. He purchased in 2016 and planted the initial vines in 2017. For the Code family, it has been a family endeavour from the start, with many weekends and vacations spent in the vineyard establishing their vines. In 2021, after completing the construction of their home and small winery building, they moved to the vineyard site full time. Their first crush was in 2019, where he produced wine with Dylan and Penelope Roche on the Naramata bench.   Shay and I do a small tasting, talk about his love of Syrah, and we tour their property where he had a fire scare about 2 weeks prior to my arrival.  Get ready for a fun conversation!! Pull up a chair, grab a glass and enjoy! Follow Code Wines here!! https://www.instagram.com/code.wines/ https://codewines.ca/ Photo taken by Jon Adrian.
