New In Radio – Deep Talk – Freund der Familie
Der „Freund der Familie" – dies ist nicht nur ein Ausdruck aus dem dem Film „Der Pate". Er steht ebenso für ein Künstler-Duo, das seit fast 20 Jahren eigene Musik und die Musik anderer Artists auf dem hauseigenen Label mit dem gleichen Namen veröffentlicht. Wir wollten einmal mehr über diesen @freundderfamilie erfahren. Das Label Freund der Familie steht für (oft limitierte) Vinyl-Auflagen von „somehow deep electronic music". Häufig wird das Label und der Künstler FDF dem Genre Dub-Techno und der Stadt Berlin zugeschrieben. Dass das zwar irgendwie grob richtig, aber im Detail auf keinen Fall das ganze Bild sein darf, konnten wir in einem sehr netten Gespräch im Freund-der-Familie-Studio in – by the way – Leipzig klären. Wir haben uns mit Klaus Rakete – einem der Betreiber von FDF – zusammengesetzt, denn wir hatten da mal ein paar Fragen. New In Radio – 05/2026 (mit Clear-Light-System-Interview)
Gestern lief unsere neue Ausgabe vom New In Radio auf Radio Blau – und dieses Mal gab es eine Doppel-Premiere. Hier ist der Mitschnitt und die Tracklist. Es war durchaus aufregend im Studio 2 von Radio Blau. Denn erstmals haben Nils und Jens von unserer New-In-Redaktion live gesendet – und das mit zwei Gästen im Studio. Eingeladen waren Philipp und Thomas vom Leipziger House-Duo Clear Light System. Mit ihrer ”Hell Or High Water“-EP haben die beiden im April ihren ersten offiziellen Release auf Filburts O*RS-Label herausgebracht. Und Nils' Label All My Ghosts veröffentlichte begleitend die drei Tracks und zwei Remixe auch auf Tape. In unserer New In Radio nahmen wir Philipp und Thomas erst mit in unseren Free Dive und hörten uns gemeinsam durch unsere Auswahl an spannenden Leipzig-Releases der vergangenen Wochen. Dazwischen konnten uns die beiden auch immer wieder Einblicke in ihre Arbeit und musikalische Prägung geben. Im Deep Dive ging es dann nochmals tiefer in die Entstehung der EP rein.
