The Best Thing that Ever Happened To Me featuring Kriste York

15 years ago, Kriste York never guessed she'd be living her dream life. Diagnosed with a brain tumor the size of a lime, she experienced a stroke during surgery which left her unable to walk, much less work, at the age of 36. Somehow in the middle of all of this, Kriste decided that she wanted this to be the. best thing that ever happened to her. This is her story. I have had the great joy of knowing Kriste for the past 15 years and through some of my darkest times I have often thought of this resolution that she made and worked to adopt it for myself. Kriste references Dr. Michael Ungar of the Resilience Research Centre in Canada https://resilienceresearch.org/ and the Center for Digital Storytelling, now known as the Story Center, in Berkeley California https://www.storycenter.org/ If you have a song contender you'd like to share with Kriste to earn a spot on her Thanksgiving card list, email kyork (at) seasidek12.org Feedback for me? emily (at) emilyjamesoncoaching.com

Forest Bathing & So Much More with Laura Cochrane of The Still & Bloom

She is board certified in lifestyle medicine and founded The Still & Bloom, which is a blend of education and coaching focused on moms. @thestillandbloom The books Laura cited in this episode are: "Vitamin N" by Richard Louv "Your Guide to Forest Bathing" by M.
