[…] But we quickly realized that first of all, the innovative drugs, are the future. So in China, although back then, most of the biosimilars came like 10, 20 years behind the US and Europe. So the Chinese people, they're using drugs already a decade behind. They cannot use the most up-to-date innovative drugs at that time. So we had this vision when we started, we said we wanted to do innovative drugs. So after we founded the company in 2012, we started doing drug discovery in 2013, very quickly after we founded the company. But at the same time, we generated cash flow by doing CRO work. So by the time 2014, we already had a fairly good candidate, which was a CTLA-4 antibody. […]
