Podcast Overview

This is the podcast for pelvic health pros who are done playing small… in the clinic or in business. I’m Dr. Becky Allen, Physical Therapist, Founder, and Visionary of Genesis PT & Wellness, and your coach for what it really takes to lead a mission-driven, team-powered, game-changing pelvic health practice. Whether you're a solo clinician, scaling a team, or somewhere in between, this podcast is here to help you stop second-guessing and start leading with clarity. I will give you the frameworks and systems that no one hands you when you step into leadership, and show you how to run a sustainable business without losing your mind (or yourself) along the way. We’ll talk about real patient cases, real leadership struggles, and the kind of wins that matter: better outcomes, stronger teams, and clinics that change lives. I’m here to change the game in pelvic health, and I want you to join me. This isn’t just about pelvic floor therapy — it’s about redefining how we serve patients, lead teams, and raise the bar of pelvic health care. The best way to do that is together... because we are better together! You in?

Why Your Marketing Funnel Is Keeping You Exhausted

Dr. Becky Allen explains why marketing that relies on a traditional funnel leaves practice owners exhausted and constantly chasing new patients, and proposes replacing it with a flywheel that compounds through ongoing momentum. She credits Tori from Ugly Ventures for teaching the framework and outlines six flywheel stages: awareness (first discovery), engage (taking an action like subscribing or signing up), nurture (relationship-building content such as emails or a podcast), invite (a clear, specific call to action to book or join), delight (excellent outcomes and patient experience), and advocate (systems that prompt reviews, referrals, and sharing). She recommends a 15-minute “flywheel audit” to list current tactics under each stage, identify the weakest link, and implement one improvement—especially strengthening invite, nurture, or advocate—to fuel sustainable word-of-mouth growth.

(00:00) - Welcome and Setup

(01:24) - Why Marketing Feels Exhausting

(03:29) - Funnels vs. Flywheels

(05:51) - Flywheel Stages 1 & 2

(06:45) - Stages 3 & 4: Nurture and Invite

(09:34) - Stages 5 & 6: Delight and Advocate

(13:21) - 15 Minute Flywheel Audit

(17:43) - Fix the Weakest Link

(20:04) - Recap and Call to Action

Join my email list so you don't miss what I am building next! https://www.thepelvicpowerhouse.com/sign-me-up

Grab your free guides:

* From the Ground Up: The Foot + Pelvic Floor Connection: https://www.thepelvicpowerhouse.com/fromthegroundup

* From the Top Down: From the Ribcage to the Pelvic Floor: https://www.thepelvicpowerhouse.com/fromthetopdown

Clinicians, be sure to learn about Dr. Becky and Dr. Corrie’s Pelvic Powerhouse Clinical Mastermind: https://www.thepelvicpowerhouse.com/group-clinical-mastermind-2026-live

Follow Becky on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/drbeckypelvicpt/

Follow Genesis PT and Wellness on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/genesisptwellness

Subscribe to "From the Ground Up with Dr. Becky Allen”:

* Apple Podcasts: https://apple.co/47eQP84

* Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/4QMmH0LDL0CrCEvVpJaOzd

* YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@FromTheGroundUp-u4n/

Pelvic health professionals, if you want to grow your practice, provide great patient care, and create the life and business you love, then visit The Pelvic Powerhouse: https://www.thepelvicpowerhouse.com/

"From the Ground Up with Dr. Becky Allen” is the podcast for pelvic health pros who are done playing small in the clinic or in business. The 3 Lies Keeping Female Founders Stuck

In this episode of From the Ground Up, Dr. Becky Allen debriefs three main takeaways from a wellness-focused retreat with a long-running group of female founders at a resort in Arizona, noting the unusually honest, vulnerable conversations. She observes that many successful women weren’t stuck due to lack of vision, talent, or strategy, but because of limiting beliefs: “I don’t belong,” “I’m not enough,” and “I’m not worthy.” She explains how feeling different can be misread as not belonging and cites Jeremiah 1:5 and Romans 12:6–8 to emphasize being set apart with distinct gifts and finding belonging in God. For inadequacy, Dr. Becky references 2 Corinthians 12:9 about grace being sufficient and power perfected in weakness. For worthiness, she cites Ephesians 2:10 and John 15:16, concluding worth comes through Jesus rather than achievements, and invites listeners to reach out if struggling.

(00:00) - Retreat Debrief Setup

(01:04) - Wellness Retreat Vibes

(03:14) - Three Limiting Beliefs

(08:05) - Belonging and Being Different

(15:46) - Not Enough Mindset

(21:49) - Worthy of Success

(30:28) - Final Encouragement

Join my email list so you don't miss what I am building next! https://www.thepelvicpowerhouse.com/sign-me-up

Grab your free guides:

* From the Ground Up: The Foot + Pelvic Floor Connection: https://www.thepelvicpowerhouse.com/fromthegroundup

* From the Top Down: From the Ribcage to the Pelvic Floor: https://www.thepelvicpowerhouse.com/fromthetopdown

Clinicians, be sure to learn about Dr. Becky and Dr. Corrie’s Pelvic Powerhouse Clinical Mastermind: https://www.thepelvicpowerhouse.com/group-clinical-mastermind-2026-live

Follow Becky on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/drbeckypelvicpt/

Follow Genesis PT and Wellness on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/genesisptwellness

Subscribe to "From the Ground Up with Dr. Becky Allen”:

* Apple Podcasts: https://apple.co/47eQP84

* Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/4QMmH0LDL0CrCEvVpJaOzd

* YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@FromTheGroundUp-u4n/

The Pelvis Isn’t Frozen: Why Millimeters Matter

In this episode of From the Ground Up, Dr. Becky Allen addresses disagreement in online pelvic health discussions by clarifying key biomechanics terms and why they matter clinically. She explains that the pelvis is neither rigid nor wildly unstable, but moves in small, meaningful ways affecting pelvic floor function, pressure management, and force transfer. Dr. Becky distinguishes pelvis-on-femur motion (pelvis rotating over a relatively fixed femur in gait, squats, lunges, etc.) from innominate/ilium rotation and from sacral nutation/counternutation, describing how these related motions influence hip external rotators and pelvic floor length-tension. Ilium internal rotation is linked with pelvic outlet widening and posterior rotation/extension, while external rotation narrows the outlet with anterior rotation/flexion. She also clarifies that mobile pelvis models exaggerate motion for teaching, but millimeters of SI joint motion still affect symptoms such as leaking, heaviness/prolapse, pain, hip pinching, bowel mechanics, and birth mechanics.

(00:00) - Biomechanics Drama Setup

(03:06) - Key Terms and Definitions

(04:02) - Pelvis on Femur Motion

(06:38) - Pelvic Floor Effects in Gait

(09:40) - Innominate and Ilium Basics

(12:22) - Ilium IR and Outlet Opening

(15:01) - Ilium ER and Outlet Closing

(17:45) - Why Models Exaggerate Motion

(19:48) - Sacrum Nutation Explained

(24:30) - Why Millimeters Matter Clinically

(26:26) - Wrap Up and Share

Join my email list so you don't miss what I am building next! https://www.thepelvicpowerhouse.com/sign-me-up

Grab your free guides:

* From the Ground Up: The Foot + Pelvic Floor Connection: https://www.thepelvicpowerhouse.com/fromthegroundup

* From the Top Down: From the Ribcage to the Pelvic Floor: https://www.thepelvicpowerhouse.com/fromthetopdown

Clinicians, be sure to learn about Dr. Becky and Dr. Corrie’s Pelvic Powerhouse Clinical Mastermind: https://www.thepelvicpowerhouse.com/group-clinical-mastermind-2026-live

Follow Becky on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/drbeckypelvicpt/

Follow Genesis PT and Wellness on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/genesisptwellness

Subscribe to "From the Ground Up with Dr. Becky Allen”:

* Apple Podcasts: https://apple.co/47eQP84

* Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/4QMmH0LDL0CrCEvVpJaOzd

* YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@FromTheGroundUp-u4n/
