How love becomes more tragic as one gets older, not less. I've never understood this. If people are 17 and fall in love, it's more tragic. No, that's common. It's literally what everyone, the older you get without having been in love, the higher the stakes. become, the more piquant the tragedy becomes. We all know people in their 40s and 50s. Have you been in love? I think so. That means you haven't.
