I seek not my own will but the will of my Father who sent me…
The world is in deep suffering and as believers we are called to be the light of the world for those in darkness – to support, to counsel and to walk alongside them, bringing light and hope to their darkest moments.
We are to seek His counsel, to let His word be the lamp to our feet and speak the Word, Truth into the darkness we encounter.
But we are not the lights we think we are, if we rely on our own will, or opinions, or understanding, or beliefs. Having walked many people through grief and suffering, the Lord is using Kezia’s past career as a counsellor and art therapist, to equip the saints to counsel each other and a world overcome with suffering.
This podcast seeks to repair the foundations – getting back to the simple command to: seek His counsel (kingdom) first. You will find encouragement to prepare you for works of service, to be built up in unity in the faith, and in the knowledge of Christ Jesus to become mature in the fulness of Christ. So that as a body we will no longer be rocked by the many plights and turmoil’s of this life and can confidently end friendship with the world, lighting the way for those still in bondage to follow.
We are to let our light shine before men, that they may see our good and praise our Father in heaven.
The word is preserved in you, as you are renewed in mind by the Word of God. And that Word filters down to your heart removing the hardness. Just like salt which removes the hard, scale-causing minerals, so that water can be softened. And so it is with softened hearts, His light radiates out through you and illuminates the dark world we inhabit.
Meaning we know our Lord God, and through us He is revealed and made known to believers and unbelievers alike. This is our service.

Serve: Preserve the Word
If we’re the salt of the earth, we preserve the word of God. Which is why we are not to add or take from it. Instead we are to love it, Jesus said, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word”. So, we are to read it, meditate on it and store it in our hearts so that your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have.
In a world that is growing increasingly dark, increasingly antagonistic to the gospel, we are to serve, to work, for the Lord is with us.

Purposeful Prayer
Prayer can be our comfort in times of trouble; a source of strength – not human strength but divine power, divine strength. So that, we can go through – not around, not over, not avoid, but through whatever it is we face. Yet, so often our prayers can sound like change this or help me with this or get me out of that; can sound like grumbling and moaning; can sound like we don’t trust God to be good.

For Whose Glory Is It?
Counsel is the word of God; and the word of God thoroughly equips us for every good work. But if we just see counsel as useless, or ineffective, as something that only happens when things are going wrong, then we miss the point of it completely and it becomes exactly that: a useless, ineffective, vain endeavour. When we bemoan that counsel has no remedy, let’s ask for whose glory are we seeking this endeavour of counsel? Our glory? Or His glory?
