Fry Girls Codcast Episode 9 ~ Saints Joachim and Ann Catholic Church
The Fry Girls are back at Saints Joachim and Ann Catholic Church — and this visit was anything but ordinary. Goosebumps, blessings, and a little bit of birthday magic made this fry feel like it was meant to be.
Even though the girls promised they wouldn’t repeat fish fries from last year, this one was just too good to pass up — and the night proved why. From incredible food and a packed house to surprise reunions (including their favorite national champion senior Olympian, Joe) and a dining room full of community, friends, and first responders, the vibe was as good as the fish. Fry Girls Codcast Episode 7 ~ St. Charles Borromeo Parish
The Fry Girls are back on the fry trail, and this week Ashley and Alyssa made their way to St. Charles BorromeoParish for a fish fry that did not hold back. Ashley dove in headfirst with the whole catfish — bones and all, proving that sometimes you’ve just got to go big or go gill-home. Meanwhile, Alyssa found unexpected joy in a side that stole the spotlight: applesauce that was simply the apple of her eye.
The night also brought some familiar faces and new fry-friends. Their friend Jen from the Cat Party joined the adventure, Precious bravely led the charge on the ever-important cheese pizza question, and Sean made sure the Fry Girls were well taken care of at the dessert table. And let’s just say… the hush puppies may have just earned the title of best in St. Charles County.
From flaky fish to sweet treats and plenty of laughs, this fry had flavor, fellowship, and more than a few strong opinions. One thing’s for sure — this episode is o-fish-ally one you don’t want to miss.

Fry Girls Codcast Episode 6
The Fry Girls are wrapping up their visit to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church — and trust us, this recap is fully loaded. Ashley and Alyssa break down everything from pricing (is it a deal or a deep-fried splurge?) to the gluten-free options. Because nothing says hospitality like making sure everyone gets a seat — and a plate.
They also gush about their love for Monsignor and the joy he brings to the ICD community. Between championship-level cod and Jubilee celebrations, this fry was serving more than dinner — it was serving connection.
And speaking of community, they spotlight their sponsor, Sarah Ruder with The Gellman Team, sharing how you can do more than visit ICD… you can live it. Because sometimes finding your parish family starts with finding the right front door.
Then it’s time to look ahead. This Friday, the Fry Girls are heading to St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, where they’ll finally learn how to pronounce “Borromeo” correctly — and where a WHOLE catfish is waiting. That’s right. Not a filet. Not a tease. The whole fish. Eyes, tail, and all the glory.
Will it be love at first bite? Will the catfish steal the crown? Tune in — because things are about to get reel.
It’s the second week of Lent, and the Fry Girls are heading to the big leagues. Ashley and Alyssa made their way to Immaculate Conception Dardenne for a fish fry that comes with serious bragging rights — two-time champions of the Dave Glover Show Fish Fry SmackDown. That’s right. This isn’t just any parish plate… this is title-holding cod.
In this episode, they dig into what makes ICD Prairie Dogs a back-to-back winner — from golden, flaky fish to sides that absolutely understood the assignment. But the night wasn’t just about crunch factor and seasoning scores. The Fry Girls were honored to meet Monsignor Ted, who recently finished celebrating a Jubilee year— 50 years of priesthood and turning 75 years young!
This fry turned into a reunion of familiar faces, new friendships, and the kind of atmosphere that reminds everyone why fish fry season hits different. Was the championship title earned? Did the food live up to the hype? And can a hush puppy carry the weight of greatness?

Fry Girls Codcast Episode 4
The Fry Girls are feeling blessed — and slightly buttered. In Episode Four, Ashley and Alyssa recap the incredible support they’ve received so far and remind listeners that while they may not be certified podcast experts, they are enthusiastic beginners with strong opinions and even stronger taste buds. This Friday, they’re heading to a new location that’s turning up the heat with Cajun catfish and gluten-free options (because inclusive frying deserves its moment). The episode also features a big reveal — their official sponsor — along with the debut of Fry Girls T-shirts, making it easier than ever to spot them in the wild at local fish fries. If you see the shirts, consider it your sign to say hello, share your favorite fry, and compare crunch notes. It’s exciting, it’s flavorful, and they’re just getting started — because this mission is bigger than cod.

Fry Girls Codcast Episode 3 ~ All Saints St. Peters
It’s the first Friday of Lent, and the Fry Girls are officially in full fry mode. Alyssa cruised over to All Saints Catholic Church in St. Peters, where the Knights of Columbus Lister Insurance were serving up a fish fry that had us hooked from the first bite. Our dinners were delivered straight to the car by students from St. Dominic High School — talk about five-star service with a side of school spirit. Just when we thought it couldn’t get better, an exciting dessert cart rolled up like a sweet surprise blessing, tempting us with treats we absolutely did not need… but absolutely ordered. We hauled our feast back and shared it with the aftercare staff, channeling our inner loaves-and-fishes moment and feeding the (slightly fewer than) 5,000 with some seriously delicious seafood. In this episode, we’re breaking down travel-proof crunch, flaky fish factor, standout sides, and desserts that nearly had us repenting for overindulgence. There are bold takes, strong opinions, and plenty of holy-fry humor — this one is o-fish-ally worth the listen.

Fry Girls Codcast Episode 2 ~ Knights of Columbus Council #7198/St. Joseph’s Parish
It’s officially fish fry season, and the Fry Girls are diving in headfirst. Ashley and Alyssa kicked things off on Ash Wednesday at the Knights of Columbus Council 7198 in Cottleville, where the oil was hot and the mission was even hotter. This wasn’t just a midweek meal — it was fish with a purpose. Twenty percent of the proceeds support St. Joseph Catholic Church, and the rest goes toward their capital fund to build a brand-new convent for the nuns — proving once again that hush puppies can, in fact, do holy work. In this episode, we dish on the golden cod, the crispy catfish, the hush puppies that may or may not have stolen the show, and yes… the free beer that blessed the evening. Was the fish flaky perfection or fried temptation? Did the sides rise to the occasion? And did this Ash Wednesday kickoff set the bar high for the rest of Lent? Grab your tartar sauce and settle in — because we’re starting the season strong and frying for a cause.

Fry Girls Codcast Episode 1
Welcome to the very first episode of Fry Girls Codcast — where the fish is crispy, the opinions are strong, and the tartar sauce is never optional.
In this debut episode, Ashley and Alyssa introduce ourselves and share how last year’s Lent quietly turned into a full-blown fish fry tour. What started as a simple question — “Wait… which place actually has the best fish?” — quickly became a mission. And now? It’s a podcast.
We’re diving into where we went last year (and who seriously impressed us), the exact moment we realized this needed to be documented, and what officially qualifies as elite-tier cod. We’re breaking down our standards for sides, desserts, and overall vibe — and yes, we’re discussing what can make or break a fish fry before we even take the first bite.
Is it flaky? Is it greasy? Is the dessert table carrying the whole parish? We’re covering it all.
Whether you’re a Lent loyalist or just here for the hush puppies, consider this your official invitation to join the Fry Girls as we batter up for a season full of honest reviews, community highlights, and plenty of laughs.
