He has written and edited over 40 books in the area of philosophy of religion, apologetics, theology, and ethics in the Bible. He has contributed a great number of articles to various professional journals and has written many essays for edited books. For six years he served as the president of the Evangelical Philosophical Society.

Benjamin D. Sommer (Hebrew: בנימין זומר; born July 6, 1964) is an American biblical scholar and Jewish theologian. He is a Professor of Bible at The Jewish Theological Seminary of America and a Senior Fellow at the Shalom Hartman Institute. He is a former director of the Crown Family Center for Jewish Studies at Northwestern University. Sommer's research encompass areas of biblical theology, history of Israelite religion, and modern Jewish thought. He is the author of A Prophet Reads Scripture: Allusion in Isaiah 40-66, The Bodies of God and the World of Ancient Israel, and Revelation and Authority: Sinai in Jewish Scripture and Tradition. Dr. Beau Branson is currently Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Brescia University in Kentucky. He received his Ph.D. in 2014 at the University of Notre Dame, directed by Richard Cross, where he specialized in Philosophical Theology, Metaphysics, and Ancient and Hellenistic Philosophy. His dissertation, "The Logical Problem of the Trinity", can be found on his Research page. His research focuses on the philosophy of the early Church Fathers. By bringing the rigor of contemporary logic and analytic metaphysics to bear on deep historical questions in patristics scholarship, He hopes to show how both analytic theology and historical theology can benefit from a deeper engagement with one another.
