Full Circle: Finding Your Way Home

About Full Circle: Finding Your Way Home

Conversations from the heart of the healer’s path. Hosted by Soul Healer, ICF Master Coach and best-selling author Gillian McMichael, Soul to Soul is a space for the soul-led and the called. For those who feel drawn to heal, to guide others, and to live a life shaped from the inside out. In each new episode, Gillian sits down, soul to soul, with healers, practitioners and seekers to explore the real journey of stepping into this work. The doubt and the calling. The grief and the awakening. The healing that changes us, and what it truly means to come home to yourself before helping others do the same. Alongside these conversations, you’ll find Gillian’s earlier episodes exploring healing, self-trust, forgiveness, alignment and the journey back to self - the inner work that forms such an important part of the healer’s path. Whether you’re already walking this path or simply feeling the first pull towards it, pull up a chair. These are conversations about healing, becoming, and answering the call. *Previously Full Circle: Finding Your Way Home.

When the Life You Built No Longer Fits with Sue Hunter

What happens when the life you’ve worked hard to build no longer feels like your own? In this episode of Soul to Soul, Gillian is joined by consultant, strategist and coach Sue Hunter for a conversation about success, identity, self-trust and having the courage to recognise when something in your life needs to change. After more than 25 years working across law, financial services, leadership and management, Sue found herself questioning a life that looked successful from the outside but no longer felt right on the inside. What followed was a gradual process of unlearning, letting go and discovering a completely different way of relating to herself. Sue shares what it was like to step away from an identity she had carried for decades, why learning to recognise how she actually felt became so important, and how coaching, meditation, Reiki and energy work helped her reconnect with a deeper sense of who she was. Gillian and Sue also explore why transformation doesn’t always require throwing your whole life away, what it means to stop looking outside yourself for the answers, and why the future of work and leadership may depend on us becoming more human, not less. In this episode: - When outward success stops feeling fulfilling - Recognising when an identity no longer fits - Sue’s journey from law and financial services into a different way of living and working - Learning to move out of your head and notice how you actually feel - Why self-trust became central to Sue’s transformation - Letting go without needing to know exactly what comes next - Meditation, Reiki and energetic alignment - Why transformation doesn’t always have to mean radical change - Moving from fixing people to creating space for them - Why AI may make human connection even more important - Recognising the signs that life is asking something different of you - Why personal change begins with believing yourself Chapters: 00:00 Meet Sue Hunter 03:07 When something in your life doesn’t feel right 06:00 The practices that helped Sue reconnect with herself 08:36 The discomfort of leaving an old life behind 10:11 Letting go of an identity that no longer fits 12:19 Learning to trust yourself 13:40 Discovering a different way of working and living 15:47 Reiki, energy and letting go 17:22 Bringing change back into everyday life 19:12 Moving beyond resistance 20:48 Purpose, energy and a different definition of success 24:19 AI, leadership and becoming more human 26:50 “I’m a healer, not a fixer” 31:30 What if you’re afraid to change? 35:54 Everything starts with you 38:41 A different kind of leadership 39:22 Where to find Sue About Sue Hunter: Sue Hunter is a consultant, strategist and coach who helps people lead from a place of greater energetic alignment, so they can restore flow, reconnect with what matters and create lives and work in which they can genuinely flourish. Breaking the Cycle: Procrastination, Burnout & the Path to Self-Renewal

Welcome back to the season finale of the Full Circle Podcast with your host, Gillian McMichael. Over the past nine episodes, we’ve explored powerful themes like self-awareness, imposter syndrome, setting boundaries, and learning to love ourselves through change. In this final episode, we’re diving into a topic that impacts so many of us - procrastination and burnout. You’ll learn: Why procrastination isn’t laziness - but avoidance driven by fear, perfectionism, or overwhelm. How burnout builds over time and what signs to watch for before it takes hold. Simple yet powerful strategies to overcome procrastination using techniques like the Pomodoro method and progress-over-perfection thinking. How to prevent and recover from burnout by setting boundaries, prioritising self-care, and letting go of the myth that rest is selfish. Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply needing a reset, this episode is here to help you break free and return to the best version of yourself. ✨ Key Takeaways: Procrastination and burnout are often two sides of the same coin. Perfectionism creates paralysis. Choose progress instead. Boundaries aren’t selfish - they’re a form of self-respect. Rest is a requirement, not a luxury. This is your reminder that taking care of yourself is an act of strength - and essential for your long-term wellbeing. Thank you for joining me this season. Keep reflecting, stay curious, and remember: you are always evolving into your truest self. ✨🙏🏼
