I don't foresee the AFD coming to power in Germany anytime soon, but in France, it's a real issue. But there's also geopolitics. And even though no one dared say it out loud yesterday or today, the geopolitics is geopolitics. fear about the United States, distrust of Donald Trump, and a desire to de-risk by doing more amongst other nations that share interests rather than being totally reliant on the United States. And my hunch is that even under Marine Le Pen in France, Europe will keep wanting to do that because actually the Rallyment National is very anti-American as well. […]
