About Full Court Tennis with Brian Teacher: Vision to Reality
Hosted by Australian Open Champion Brian Teacher, Vision to Reality bridges the gap between the technical science and the mental game. We deconstruct the geometry of the stroke, the physics of movement, and the mindfulness required to execute it under pressure. Whether you are a junior with a dream, a coach building a player, or a pro looking for that 1% edge, this is your roadmap.
Stop guessing. Start building. Welcome to the laboratory.

Zverev Lost to Davidovich Fokina in Shanghai — Why House Money Makes Anyone Dangerous
Alexander Zverev has won two majors this year, and this week in Shanghai he lost a semifinal to Alejandro Davidovich Fokina, who played the match of his life. Carlos Alcaraz is back from four and a half months out and lost to Zizou Bergs, another player swinging with nothing to lose. And Jannik Sinner has called his season.
In this episode I use Joseph Campbell's hero's journey as a lens to see where each of them stands right now: Zverev with the weight off his back and playing with house money, Alcaraz on the road back and still carrying some doubts, and Sinner facing his own ordeal while he is out.
What happens when an underdog plays with house money, and why does it make the top of the game so exciting right now? And why do I still pick Zverev as the player to beat? It comes down to emotional freedom: how much pressure you feel from the outside world, and what you are dealing with in your own journey. You can't play your best tennis while you are carrying it.

Sinner Ended His Season and Alcaraz Won Tokyo After Four and a Half Months Out — The Injury Lesson Most Coaches Never Teach
Carlos Alcaraz just won Tokyo after four and a half months out with a wrist injury, and he admitted the doubts that came with it. Jannik Sinner just ended his 2026 season to treat a knee injury. Two of the best players in the world, and the same hard choice: stop.
In this episode I explain why resting is the smartest thing a player can do, and why it is so hard when sponsors, money, and ranking points are all pulling you back onto the court.
I also tell the story I am not proud of. I played on chronic Achilles tendonitis for over a year, rested two months on good medical advice, and still ended up needing surgery and eight months out. Along the way I tore the ligaments in my ankle after winning the Australian Open and know exactly what those doubts feel like.
The lesson: never play through a nagging injury, get it checked early by a good specialist, as why it is happening, and remember there is always another tournament.

Shelton Zverev and Michelsen at the US Open — How Champions Think When They Win and How They Think When They Fail
Jimmy Connors was 39 years old at the 1991 US Open — ranked nowhere near where he used to be — and he made a run to the semifinals that's still talked about today.
Why? Because he wasn't thinking about his age. He was playing the next point.
John McEnroe once silenced 10,000 booing fans in Rome by refusing to serve until they stopped — then hit an ace and had the whole crowd cheering for him. But at the 1984 French Open final, that same fire cost him the one Grand Slam he never won.
And at the Laver Cup, Zverev told Alcaraz exactly how he stayed calm serving for the US Open — he tricked himself into thinking the score was four-one instead of five-two.
In this episode I break down exactly what separates champions who play the next point
from those who get stuck in their heads — including Ben Shelton's stunning semifinal against Alcaraz followed by his final collapse, and my own story of winning the Australian Open while my personal life was falling apart.
