Not Just Revenue is the podcast for online business owners who are done chasing bigger revenue while wondering why they're still not paying themselves what they expected.
Hosted by Emilie Nutley — revenue strategist, business mentor, and qualified financial adviser — this show explores what it really takes to build a business that funds your life. From predictable sales and profitable offers to owner's pay, cashflow, and long-term wealth, every episode challenges the idea that more revenue is the answer.
Because the goal was never the biggest Stripe screenshot. It was building a business that reliably pays you, gives you options, and supports the life you actually want.
New episodes every week. Expect honest conversations, practical strategy, real numbers, and plenty of opinions on what the online business world keeps getting wrong.
I kick off by ranting about an overcrowded, overpriced train journey with my family, being told there was “no room,” then watching first class stay empty unless you pay extra, before pulling out the business lesson: treat everyone like a customer, no matter what they spend, and give your warm leads VIP-level care. Then I celebrate client wins from June–August.

Ep 38. "I'm just not a numbers person" is doing more damage than you think
In this episode I'm challenging the belief that you’re “not a numbers person,” because numbers touch every part of business: income goals, pricing, capacity, audience growth, conversion rates, content strategy, cash flow, and decision-making. I explain how outsourcing to accountants or bookkeepers without understanding your own numbers creates guilt, avoidance, and bad investments, and I also remind you that big revenue claims online don’t mean someone is keeping or managing that money well. My point: you don’t need mental maths... use tools, spreadsheets, and even AI, but you do need to understand your numbers to grow sustainably.

Ep 37. No, you don't need a launch
I’m talking about why so many people think they “need a launch” and why launching on its own isn’t a strategy unless it’s a strategic decision. I share four non-strategic reasons I see all the time and explain why you should validate an offer and have systems ready before spotlighting it, and I land on the simplest alternative: make an invitation to your offer every day. I share examples of DM follow-ups and how consistent selling creates inquiries and sales without a big launch.
