<p>In our first-ever podcast series, Women in the Fire Service UK (WFS) brings you highlights from our Future Firefighter online event programme, which ran between 15 June-20 July 2021. We advised people of different genders from underrepresented groups, considering careers in the fire service.</p><p>In these episodes, you’ll hear from firefighters and other fire service personnel from across the UK. They discuss what it means to be a firefighter, how to be better prepared for selection tests, and tips on gaining confidence to apply for the role of a firefighter. They also answer some burning questions about what life as a firefighter is really like.</p><p>We also explore what the Fire and Rescue Service does, different careers and roles in the Service, work-life balance, inclusion and maternity.</p><p>Be inspired!
