Podcast Overview

Welcome to Futures of Education! We're an inter-generational podcast - in collaboration with Harvard's Human Flourishing Program - and at the forefront of collaborations to co-create new visions for the future of education. Each month is based on one of 5 themes from a pioneering futures framework by Professor Keri Facer (2022): 1. Education about the future. E.G. what is futures thinking and how can we use it to enhance our capacities in the present? 2. Education for the Future. E.G. What sort of education to we need to prepare us for imagined futures? 3. Education in the future. E.G. What might education be like in the future? 4. Education from the future. E.G. How can we free education from the current narratives about the future? 5. Education as healing. E.G. How can we use education to heal the injustices of the past. The first episode of the month is a longer 30-40 minute conversation; the second is a shorter 10 minute disruptive idea. The show is co-hosted by thought leaders of different ages. In designing our podcast in this manner we are role modelling the sort of inter-generational co-construction that we think is vital for the future of a flourishing humanity. We also attempt to vary the younger co-host each month so that as many opportunities as possible are created for younger change-makers to be involved.
