About G00n Pod
Welcome to the G00n Gang. I'm B and I find the conversations I have with my friends to be quite amusing. We on that g00n vibe, that random nonsense vibe, but sometimes that personal vibe too. I hope the world gets some laughs and perspective from our g00nery. So, to the kings, queens, and royal neithers and in-betweens, let's go and get into it. Hiatus 1: The Return
Ayo, it's B, after a long while of disappearing from this podcast scene. We love when the cumulative stressors from life, school, politics, and social matters drags us down into a drag. Not really. For legal reasons, that was a joke. However, we're going to hop back into this, weekly or biweekly, depending on how much I have going on. If you're still around, thank you. I promise to be better with this project, because this is something I genuinely want to carry on with. I'm privileged to join the Diversify Our Narrative (https://www.diversifyournarrative.com/) campaign. DON is a 100% grassroots, student-led initiative that advocates for racial and ethnic diversity within educational curriculum and policy. Follow the efforts on Instagram (@diversifyournarrative) and Twitter (@TheDONCampaign). If you have any ideas, requests, suggestions, or just want to talk it up, please feel free to shoot over messages and suggestions through the Insta (@g00npod). I know the holiday season can be difficult for some, literally and metaphorically a cold time of the year. Keep going. You've got this. I believe in you and your abilities.

The Gay and The Straight [Explicit]
Welcome back to the season cameo of The Gay and The Straight Podcast part TWO. Yep, Heather's in this episode too as this is a continuation of the previous recording session. This portion of the recording includes Shark Boy and Lava Girl, Bob Duncan, Heather's dedication to food, Allen & Houston Magazine, and you have to listen for anything else. Could I have easily bleeped out the swears to keep things clean? Yes. I just got lazy to edit all that, so I'm marking it explicit. If anyone wishes to contact us, provide feedback, and inform us of anything that we should look back over or approach differently, by all means, message us through our Instagram (@g00npod). Any suggestions and requests for topics to talk about or include in the podcast are welcome as well! :) Until the next one! Puppy Pod (Ft. Humans) [Explicit]
Welcome back to The Gay and The Straight Podcast...wait...it's the G00n Pod...wait...it's the Puppy Pod. You know what, scratch all that, glad you can tune in for this one because -wait for it- HEATHER'S HERE! :) I managed to have Heather hop onto this recording session, which I broke into two episodes so they would not be as long. In this first chunk, we get updates on Heather's happenings, talk about the pod, reminisce about Disney, and my puppy chills out for a while, nibbling on my hand for a while. The College-COVID Combo
AJ The Simp, an original g00n, has joined the G00n Pod. The original intended focus for this episode was to discuss school and COVID. We dive into how quarantine changes life, mentioning its impact on the progression of our college experiences. However, naturally, many side conversations took place as well. For this g00n sesh, we offer you Kermit impressions, our son, and loving jabs. If anyone wishes to contact us, provide feedback, and inform us of anything that we should look back over or approach differently, by all means, message us through our Instagram (@g00npod). Any suggestions and requests for topics to talk about or include in the podcast are welcome as well! :) To the Kings, Queens, Royal Neithers and In-betweens: Take care of yourselves

College Crisis
Ayo welcome to an episode featuring me having a crisis about my future. So for anyone else who would call themselves lost. We're going to be okay. Just some reminders: There's no such thing as graduating "on time". People change majors all the time. People change schools. People drop college altogether. People join college later in their lives. People come back to it later in life, whether it's their first run through or for a change. It's all okay. I would like to emphasize that I can only speak from our personal experiences and that life varies drastically from person to person. If anyone wishes to contact us, provide feedback, and inform us of anything that we should look back over or approach differently, by all means, message us through our Instagram (@g00npod). Any suggestions and requests for topics to talk about or include in the podcast are welcome as well! :)

WIBU: Be A Decent Human
Looks like we're having ~another rant~ today. Speaking up for what you believe in can be intimidating when you realize what you're opening yourself up to. Because of this, it is extremely important to be mindful of yourself and how you carry those beliefs with you. Take in as much from as many sides as you can, in as neutral a perspective as you are able, and go from there. Be upfront when you don't know answers, it's okay if you don't. Keep your eyes on Kenosha. Keep your eyes on Portland. Keep your eyes on the police who need to be held accountable. The protests are still happening, everywhere. It's not over. Don't let mainstream news media convince you it is. The lives of the past, present, and future all have their eyes on us. I didn't say anything at the end of this one BUT: Please drink water. Please try to eat if you have not yet. Please take a moment to stretch. Please take any meds and vitamins you need to. Please be kind to yourselves. -B If anything I say or do oversteps the boundaries of what I should, please let me know and correct me. If anyone wishes to contact us, provide feedback, and inform us of anything that we should look back over or approach differently, by all means, message us through our Instagram (@g00npod). Any suggestions and requests for topics to talk about or include in the podcast are welcome as well.

WIBU: Black Voices Matter
I suppose this is the first installation of Why Is B Upset (WIBU). The rant that floated into my mind relates to Black Lives Matter. In a general sense, the steam, hype, trend of BLM has fizzled down a bit. It is still very active, and even if it wasn't, that does not mean we should stop our growth, nor should we slow our pursuit of justice. Stay mindful of the small habits and behaviors that you make adjustments to in your day to day life. Unlearn a common generalization, saying, assumption, stereotype. Learn the history, background, and hidden realities that SHOULD be more known. Listen to Black voices and help them be heard. In relation to this, make sure you realize the overlap and connection BLM has with other issues. People of color are more impacted by climate change and pollution. Racism has no place in the LGBTQ+ community. Misconceptions and biases impact the quality of health care people of color receive. Generalizations and stereotypes impact school environments, if and when accessible. If anything I say or do oversteps the boundaries of what I should, please let me know and correct me. If anyone wishes to contact us, provide feedback, and inform us of anything that we should look back over or approach differently, by all means, message us through our Instagram (@g00npod). Any suggestions and requests for topics to talk about or include in the podcast are welcome as well! :) Mentioned in the podcast are the following on Instagram: Heather (@hmrcreates), Allen & Houston Magazine (@allenhoustonmagazine), ARTivism Initiative (@artivisminitiative), Amaranthia (@emobunnycomic) Here is the link to the This is a Movement, Not a Moment gallery: https://www.artivisminitiative.org/tiamnam (https://www.artivisminitiative.org/tiamnam)

Will You Press The Button? (Ft. Kevin Nguyen) [Explicit]
WELCOME to the first episode of the G00n Pod reb00t. We would like to introduce the first G00n: Kevin Nguyen, also called Minh-Huy. At the beginning of the COVID-19 quarantine, with all the toilet paper hoarding, Minh asked what I would do if I was in a public restroom with absolutely no toilet paper or paper towels. So, naturally, it would be PERFECT for him to come on and discuss questionable decisions with me. The chosen game is Will You Press The Button? Which can be played by clicking here (http://willyoupressthebutton.com/). Update for those curious: Heather and I are both working on taking care of ourselves and balancing our current happenings in our personal lives. We did talk more about the direction of this show, deciding it will be left to my discretion. I do not feel that I want this to be a personal pursuit, so I have spoken with a small handful of individuals I am close to, who I feel live up to the g00n name. If anyone wishes to contact us, provide feedback, and inform us of anything that we should look back over or approach differently, by all means, message us through our Instagram (@g00npod). Any suggestions and requests for topics to talk about or include in the podcast are welcome as well! :) The website is up: https://bz-ely.wixsite.com/g00n (https://bz-ely.wixsite.com/g00n) Feel free to roam the site, answer the random poll, look into voting information, and discover the secret links hidden around. I have no clue who's been listening, but to those of you who have been, thank you. Please treat yourselves well -B

Story time: Mental Health in Relationships
Continuing last episode's session of story time, we begin with Heather narrating the rollercoaster (ferris wheel) of her first kiss. Following the conclusion of this, we decide to dive further into the discussion of mental health struggles and relationships. What we share and say comes from our personal experiences with mental health struggles, but please know mental health is a completely individual experience. Regardless of if an individual has an official diagnosis to their name or not, caring for and respect each other's mental states is vital in any relationship. If anyone wishes to contact us, provide feedback, and inform us of anything that we should look back over or approach differently, by all means, message us through our Instagram (@g00npod). Any suggestions and requests for topics to talk about or include in the podcast are welcome as well! :)

Story time: Spoons and Feelings
Cheers to the first of many story times to come. In this episode, B tells the legend of the spoon that defined her high school personality, Heather shares the tale of her first high school crush, and B unravels into a flustered mess. Humanity
We know the various mini conversations at the start go all over the place, BUT we promise we dive into a more serious conversation for the majority of this episode. Trying to figure out our place in life is a great obstacle many of us encounter. When growing our individual perspective, it is important to engage in discourse with minds that do not match our own. If not to be persuaded or to persuade, then, at least, to gain a better sense of understanding. As society develops, it is only through fair and authentic inclusion and representation of all minorities, groups, and demographics that we will reach justice. We want to clarify that we acknowledge we are not experts and that we have so much left to learn. All we say and share from our minds and hearts are conveyed in good faith. If anyone wishes to contact us, provide feedback, and inform us of anything that we should look back over or approach differently, by all means, message us through our Instagram (@g00npod). Any suggestions and requests for topics to talk about or include in the podcast are welcome as well!

#Ship: College Connections
Continuing where the last episode left off, in this episode, we share the differences we've noticed in college when it comes to socializing and building relationships. Better in some ways. Trickier in others. Relationships take work to readjust to progressing dynamics. We've both branched out, yet we both hold onto familiarity. We would like to emphasize that we can only speak from our personal experiences and that the post-high school experience varies from person to person. If anyone wishes to contact us, provide feedback, and inform us of anything that we should look back over or approach differently, by all means, message us through our Instagram (@g00npod). #Ship: High School Connections
This episode's sailing ships share what we learned about personal relationships in high school. For us, the term relationship broadly refers to any connection with friends, significant others, support systems, and so on. We both experienced conflicts and mental health struggles in high school that influenced how our social bubbles developed. We would like to emphasize that we can only speak from our personal experiences and that the high school experience varies from person to person. If anyone wishes to contact us, provide feedback, and inform us of anything that we should look back over or approach differently, by all means, message us through our Instagram (@g00npod). Afterthoughts: B's Haircut
Ayo, it's Beatriz solo for a shorter clip that ties back to the last episode, where I impulsively cut my hair. For this one, I recap over my parents' reactions and share some of the thoughts and feelings I've contemplated on these last few days. My mind kinda just ran its course. I do not regret cutting my hair at all. I do not regret waiting for as long as I have. To anyone who needs this: Every bit of my being hopes that you reach the moment you see the person you want to see and are meant to authentically be, looking back at you in the mirror. Somehow the pieces all into place. I believe in you and your abilities. Quarantime: B's Haircut
Beatriz woke up with the sudden urge to cut her own hair. Heather wished to watch the process through Zoom and record some conversation to capture some of her authentic reactions. In this recording, we offer you: wheezing, clapping, confusion, and laughing. The variety of side topics feature: Cancel culture, the Rona, tattoos, and who knows what else? If anyone wishes to contact us, provide feedback, and inform us of anything that we should look back over or approach differently, by all means, message us through our Instagram (@g00npod).
