la iglesia de San Pedro Apóstol, es una grandiosa construcción en perfecta sillería de granito y formada por tres naves y en la que encontramos elementos de estilo románico, gótico y renacentista. No hay documentación fiable sobre su origen templario, aunque su forma preparada para la defensa, ha hecho que en el acervo popular se considere que los templarios tuvieron algo que ver, ya que está constadada su presencia en las inmediaciones, en la Torre de Floripes y en el Santuario de la Virgen de Altagracia.
