The Problem of Faith — Receiving God’s Grace and Gift | Carl Mutzelburg

Pastor Carl explores the nuances and misunderstandings surrounding Christian faith, reassuring believers that faith is not a self-generated mental effort or a performance to produce miraculous outcomes, but a gracious gift initiated and perfected by God. Addressing the quiet guilt and pressure many experience when struggling with doubt or unanswered prayers, he explains that scripture reveals God Himself—rather than the strength of our own belief or specific desired results—as the true object of our faith, while our deep longings for breakthrough and healing rest in hope for His promises. He emphasizes that faith is received by positioning ourselves to hear God speak through His written and quickened Word, removing all human boasting and liberating believers from self-reliance. Ultimately, he encourages the congregation to release their performance-driven burdens, hold fast to their hope with joy, and step out in active trust whenever God prompts them, confident in His limitless capability and enduring goodness. --- Referenced Scriptures Genesis 15:2–6 — Abram brings his concerns about having no heir to the Lord, and God promises him a son and descendants as numerous as the stars. Praying Scripture with Confidence | Jason Elsmore

Senior Pastor Jason Elsmore invites us into a deeper, more confident prayer life by anchoring our prayers directly in the living word of God. Drawing from personal testimony—from witnessing decades of generational transformation in Cambodia to faithfully praying over his own children—Pastor Jason acknowledges the unspoken guilt, disappointments, and feelings of inadequacy that so often undermine a believer’s prayer life. He highlights five foundational reasons why praying scripture carries transformative authority: God's word is **powerful** in spiritual battles, **promise-filled** through Jesus Christ, **permanent** in alignment with God's unchanging character, **prophetic** as a light in dark places, and deeply **personal** to the human heart. Encouraging us to move past hesitation and step into childlike faith, he outlines five biblical prayers to declare over every sphere of life—asking God for **fullness** in personal faith, **favor** over families, **faithfulness** within the church, **fruitfulness** in community outreach, and a fresh revival across the nation.

The Art of Holy Astonishment: Cultivating Wonder in an Adult World | Hannah White

Hannah invites us to reclaim a sense of childlike awe by intentionally cultivating wonder in the midst of a demanding adult world. She contrasts the fleeting, manufactured escape of worldly magic with the profound, everyday joy of knowing the Creator of the cosmos. Drawing a powerful connection between the staggering vastness of the stars God breathed into existence and the microscopic detail of laminin—the protein holding human cells together—she illustrates that the infinite Ruler of the universe is also an intimately close Father who cares deeply for His broken children. By shifting focus from personal struggles to the beautiful, compassionate character of God, she shows how simple daily rhythms of gratitude, nature, and heartfelt worship can humble the soul, break through complacency, and bring healing reassurance even in seasons of deep grief.
