<p>Tingginya angka bunuh diri di Bali, khususnya Denpasar, dinilai sebagai dampak langsung tekanan ekonomi akibat ketimpangan tajam antara UMK dan Kebutuhan Hidup Layak (KHL). Pengamat sosial Anak Agung Gede Agung Aryawan alias Gung De menyoroti UMK Denpasar 2026 sekitar Rp3,5 juta yang tertinggal jauh dari KHL Rp5,2 juta, menciptakan defisit hampir Rp2 juta per bulan yang mustahil ditutup pekerja bergaji tetap. Beban biaya pendidikan, kewajiban sosial-budaya, serta minimnya transportasi umum yang memaksa penggunaan kendaraan pribadi memperparah stres rumah tangga. Dibandingkan DKI Jakarta yang selisih UMK dan KHL-nya hanya sekitar Rp100 ribu, kondisi Denpasar dinilai sebagai ironi kebijakan di kota pariwisata berbiaya hidup tinggi. Gung De memperingatkan, ketimpangan ini merupakan bom waktu sosial, dengan meningkatnya bunuh diri sebagai gejala kegagalan sistem upah menopang kehidupan layak.</p>

<p>Perjuangan hukum panjang selama tujuh tahun akhirnya berbuah manis bagi Anak Agung Ngurah Oka (Turah Oka Jero Kepisah) yang diputus lepas dari segala tuntutan oleh Pengadilan Negeri Denpasar pada Kamis (4/9/2025). </p><p><br /></p><p>Majelis hakim menilai perbuatan yang didakwakan tidak termasuk tindak pidana sebagaimana diatur Pasal 191 ayat (2) KUHAP, sehingga nama baiknya wajib dipulihkan. Meski jaksa menyatakan akan menempuh kasasi, kuasa hukum Turah Oka menegaskan kemenangan ini sebagai bukti keadilan masih ada dan menjadi peringatan keras agar masyarakat Bali lebih waspada terhadap praktik kotor dalam dunia pertanahan. </p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p>
