Welcome back to Gayme Time, the podcast where we explore different sports and their social and cultural implications. In this episode, titled "Sociology and Cycling with Dr. Keith Whitworth," we dive into the world of cycling with our guest, Dr. Whitworth, a professor of sociology at TCU.
As an avid cyclist, Dr. Whitworth shares his expertise on the differences between outdoor and indoor cycling, examining the benefits and drawbacks of each and the environmental impact of cycling. We discuss ways to be environmentally and carbon-friendly in all aspects of life, including sports. We explore how cycling, as a sport and form of transportation, affects the environment and ecosystems around us, and how we can all make a difference in reducing our carbon footprint.
In addition to cycling, our conversation also touches on the intersection of sociology and sports. Dr. Whitworth shares his insights on how sports reflect and shape our society, and how they can be a powerful tool for social change.
We may not be Tour de France winners (yet), but we have a lot of fun discussing these topics. Whether you're a hardcore cyclist or just enjoy a leisurely bike ride, you'll find something to enjoy in this episode. So put on your helmet and join us for a ride through the world of cycling, sociology, sustainability, and more.

Tennis and Spain with Isa Pascual
Welcome to the latest episode of Gayme Time! In this episode titled "Tennis and Spain with Isa Pascual," I had the pleasure of interviewing a very special guest: Isa Pascual, a tennis player for TCU's NCAA women's tennis team and an international student from Spain.
We dive into the exciting world of tennis with Isa, and she shares some fascinating insights about the game, including its rules and what you should wear to look and play like a pro. As an international student from Spain, Isa also sheds light on the cultural differences in and out of the sport, which adds a unique perspective to our discussion.
Isa shares her experiences playing tennis and being a part of the TCU team. She also talks about her experience as a student at TCU and the challenges she has faced as an international student. She shares some of her favorite things about the United States and gives us a glimpse into her life in Spain.
We also explore a burning question that's been on my mind: are bees really attracted to tennis balls like they are in the Bee Movie? Isa helps me uncover the truth behind this mystery, and we learn a lot about the behavior of bees in the process.
Join us for "Tennis and Spain with Isa Pascual," an episode packed with laughter, interesting facts, and great conversation. Get ready to learn more about the sport of tennis and the world of international students.
