Hello and welcome to Gemstone Mine. If you've found us, you probably already know about the Magic: the Gathering format known as "Commander". This podcast will bring knowledge and insights to players who are looking to up their game, and maybe even learn a few things from the most powerful corner of the Commander format: the cEDH metagame.
Even if cEDH really isn't your cup of tea, we think there are some useful lessons to be learned from what people are using the most powerful cards in the history of Magic for. From building and discussing the most powerful decks in the history of the format, to interviewing other creators to learn about their wacky fringe cEDH decks, Gemstone Mine has you covered for Competitive Commander!
Have you ever faced off a Commander deck where it just kind of felt like your opponent was two steps ahead of you? While you're still ramping and Getting Ready, they're establishing value engines and applying pressure? And no matter how many times you tried to stop them, they just kept bouncing back? If they were running a deck with a cheap commander, John may have some insight this week on how they made that work...
