Welcome to the Parent/Favell Generation X podcast. No.... not that Parent and Favell, the offspring! Hosted by Kim Parent, daughter of Hall of Fame goaltender Bernie Parent and Corey Favell, son of legendary goaltender Doug Favell. One question that we always get asked is, “What was it like growing up with Bernie/Doug as your dad?” Well, we are here to open the curtain and let everyone in. Our goal is to create a hub for people in the hockey family to come together, tell stories, share memories, and just connect. Each week we will have an amazing variety of guests such as NHL players, coaches, broadcasters, owners, just about anyone from the hockey world, oh, and their kids too - giving insight into the unique “family” that is the hockey world.
Who doesn’t love Lauren Hart?!? Between her and her father Gene, Hart has been a cherished and lived name throughout the Flyers history. Yes, Lauren sings our national anthem for every how game but she does and has done so much more with her amazing singing talent! She is a strong, loving, and beautiful human being. Not to mention an amazing mom, wife, and daughter. Make sure to check it out!
***Be forewarned- this was one of the first episodes that we ever recorded... we weren’t at the top of our game yet... haha. But Lauren is awesome and worth overlooking our newness to the podcast world.

Dave Poulin
Dave Poulin-just an amazing guy! Never drafted, but at age 25 was named the Flyers captain - the torch handed to him by the great Bobby Clarke. Dave talks to us about his time in Sweden and how that shaped him as a captain, what it was like being the liaison between the players and coach Mike Keenan, the weight of trying to live up to the Broad Street Bullies, how amazing Ed Snider was, and some more insight into the behind the scenes respect shown to my dad at the Winter Classic. Hope you enjoy it as much as we did!
