67. Wrapping up Tess
Today we wrap up our discussion of our March book, Thomas Hardy's Tess of the D'Urbervilles. We loved rediscovering this classic text and spent two full episodes diving in. The themes in this novel still resonate today and Hardy was ahead of the curve in his understanding of the plight of women. 66. Meet Maggie & Pilot
On today's episode we are thrilled to introduce you to Maggie Stokes and her Alaskan Husky, Pilot. Maggie is Deb's niece and Sophie's cousin. She is currently a college student in Maine who participates in a very unique sport called Skijoring. Come hear all about this extreme Norwegian winter sport and how Maggie discovered her love for it. We have a passion for animals in this family and Maggie's love for her beloved Pilot and of the outdoors comes shining through. Join us!
