<p>Voor aflevering 21 ging ik op bezoek bij de jonge Gentse herrieschopper <a href="https://www.instagram.com/jerrre/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferer">Jerre</a>.</p> <p> </p> <p>We hadden het over tracks maken, singles vs albums, vergelijken met anderen, zijn inspiraties en toekomstvisie, hoe collabs ontstaan en meer.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Over J9RR9</strong></p> <p> </p> <p>J9RR9 is een rapper uit Gent. Na enkele jaren optreden en muziek uitbrengen in de formatie 'Apex Raptors' werkt hij nu hard aan zijn solocarrière. </p> <p> </p> <p>Zo bracht hij op korte tijd zijn debuut EP '99' uit. Kort daarop volgde een extended versie, '99+1'. </p> <p> </p> <p>Naast muziek is hij organisator van 'Hardere Aanpak' (i.s.m. Muziekcentrum Kinky Star), waar de meest obscure namen uit de Vlaamse underground de kans krijgen om het kot volledig af te breken. Ook is hij host van de HipHop Hooray-evenementen in Gent. </p>

None other than <strong>Lavito</strong>.</p> <p>In terms of tracks from Ghent rappers, you definitely know him as the maker of the beat from 'Lostboydemigod' by Spreej.</p> <p>We talked about his musical development, way of making music, inspirations and musical preferences, vision of the future and success, the forthcoming album...</p> <p><br></p> <p><strong>About Lavito</strong></p> <p><br></p> <p>With more streams than the average artist in Belgium and countless successful international collaborations, you can say that Lavito's music career is going at a breakneck pace.</p> <p>This multi-talented producer from Ghent makes music that on the one hand wants to motivate, inspire, comfort and on the other hand spread love and joy to everyone who hears it. His music is often described as cinematic, melodic and harmonizing.</p> <p>Lavito grew up with music. It soon became his outlet. He later traded his thriving legal career to pursue his dream of becoming a full-time producer.</p> <p>In numbers: in one year, Lavito went from 70,000 to almost 300,000 monthly listeners and produced over 100 tracks. Meanwhile, he signed with American producer team Cloudmusix with producers like FrankGotThePack, DrewBandz and XyzUrsTruly producing tracks for artists like Pop Smoke, Lil Uzi Vert and Chris Brown.</p> <p>At the end of 2022, Lavito started working on his first own album, on which he sings himself and which will also feature several international names. It promises to be an album full of tracks to shake up and with a message.</p> <p>Not surprisingly, his motto is: 'Keep it going!'</p>
