The Georgian Voices podcast is brought to you by the Development Team at St George’s. It is our aim to build and maintain lifelong links between all those in the Georgian Family to inspire them to be the very best versions of themselves.
In each episode of the Georgian Voices podcast series, we are joined by a guest member from our Georgian family as we hear from them about their time at St George’s and share with us what they’ve gone on to do in their life and career to date. Each episode is available to listen to online, including our website www.georgianfamily.co.uk
Georgian Voices – Episode 4 – Father Robert Hamilton talks about St Joseph’s African Aid
After ordination in 1969 Father Robert worked in the Congo for three years and has continued to support communities in Africa through Saint Joseph’s African Aid (SJAA) which he established in 2001. The charity was formed to support small and manageable projects aimed at the relief of poverty, sickness and distress as well as the advancement of education principally in those countries where Josephites have a presence: DR Congo, Cameroon and Gabon. Father Robert shares his experiences of travelling to Africa and seeing first-hand how SJAA has made a difference to the communities there.
