Ο πατέρας της ήταν εύπορος ξυλέμπορος κι έζησε σε ένα περιβάλλον με πολλές ανέσεις στην Πόλη, στο Φανάρι. Ήταν το τέταρτο και το τελευταίο παιδί της οικογενείας. Από τα αδέλφια της η μεγάλη, η Βασιλική, ήταν εκείνη που της πρωτομίλησε για τον Θεό.</li></ul><p><br></p><ul><li>Μετά το γυμνάσιο, έφυγε για να συνεχίσει τις σπουδές της στην Ελβετία στην Σχολή Γεωπονικής του Estavayer-Le-Lace. Αγαπούσε ιδιαίτερα τα φυτά και κυριολεκτικά μέχρι το τέλος της ζωής της «μιλούσε» μαζί τους, λες κι έβλεπε κάθε φορά την ανταπόκρισή τους. Το 1923 βρέθηκε οικογενειακώς στην Θεσσαλονίκη. Εκεί μπήκε στο Αριστοτέλειο Πανεπιστήμιο, ως ακροάτρια στην Φιλοσοφική Σχολή. Μετά το τέλος των σπουδών της πήγε στην Αθήνα και έπιασε δουλειά σε μια ψυχιατρική κλινική όπου παρέμεινε έναν μόνον χρόνο. Έπειτα πήγε στην Αγγλία και εκεί βρήκε διάφορες εργασίες ενώ παράλληλα βοηθούσε πλήθος απόρων και ανέργων, και φρόντιζε δωρεάν πολλούς φτωχούς.</li></ul><p><br></p><ul><li>Το1954 στις 24 Μαρτίου την ημέρα που πέθανε η μητέρα της ξεκίνησε την πνευματικής της πορεία. Από κει και πέρα άρχισε η μεγάλη ιεραποστολή της σε όλον τον κόσμο. Το 1954 πήγε στην Ινδία όπου και παρέμεινε 5 χρόνια. Εκεί βοηθούσε ακατάπαυστα πλήθος λεπρών και αρρώστων. Την φώναζαν αδελφή Λίλα. Έκανε σημαντικές γνωριμίες (Μητέρα Τερέζα, Sivananda, Baba Amte). Την καλούσαν σε διάφορες χώρες για να μιλήσει για τον Ορθόδοξο Χριστιανισμό.</li></ul><p><br></p><ul><li>Μετά την Ινδία βρέθηκε στα Ιμαλάϊα για έναν χρόνο με λιτή τροφή σε ώρες ατελείωτης προσευχής. Η ίδια έλεγε αργότερα ότι εκείνο τον χρόνο έζησε τον ησυχαστικό μοναχισμό χωρίς καν να το γνωρίζει. Τότε κατάλαβε ότι ο μοναχισμός είναι ένας ιδιαίτερος τρόπος ζωής. </li></ul><p><br></p><ul><li>Συναντήθηκε λοιπόν με έναν κύριο ο οποίος της ζήτησε να την συνοδεύσει στην Βηθανία σ’ ένα μοναστήρι. Πήγε στην Βηθανία, σε ηλικία 62 ετών. Επέστρεψε στην Αθήνα όπου έκανε εγχείρηση για να θεραπευτεί από την 100% τύφλωση του αριστερού ματιού της. Παρέμεινε στην Αθήνα στην Ιερά Μονή Ευαγγελιστρίας, την Νέα Ιερουσαλήμ, όπως η ίδια την αποκαλούσε. Μέσα από το μοναστήρι αλληλογραφούσε και βοηθούσε πολλούς ανθρώπους.</li></ul><p><br></p><ul><li>Κατόπιν πήγε στην η Αφρική και επέστρεψε στην Αθήνα, ενώ μετά ακολούθησαν η Αίγινα και η Λέρος, όπου και πέθανε σε ηλικία 95 ετών, στις 28 Μαρτίου 1992.</li></ul><p><br></p>
