Darunter fällt ein breites Bündel militärischer, geheimdienstlicher, politischer, medialer und kultureller Maßnahmen, die im Kalten Krieg zwar nicht erfunden, aber wesentlich weiterentwickelt wurden. Der Kalte Krieg war auch ein Krieg der Geheimdienste. Im Mittelpunkt der Ausführungen stehen die Auseinandersetzungen zwischen DDR-Staatssicherheit und der Organisation Gehlen/BND. Welche Strategien wurden verfolgt, wie konkretisierte sich Spionage und Gegenspionage und nicht zuletzt, welche Propagandastrategien begleiteten einzelne Aktionen?<br /> <br /> Referentin<br /> Prof. Dr. Daniela Münkel ist Historikerin, Leiterin der Abteilung Vermittlung und Forschung im Stasi-Unterlagen-Archiv/Bundesarchiv mit Schwerpunkten in der deutschen Geschichte des 20. Jahrhunderts, besonders des Nationalsozialismus, der Bundesrepublik und der DDR sowie zur vergleichenden Geheimdienstforschung.

Staatlich betriebene Desinformation hatte im Kalten Krieg Hochkonjunktur in Ost und West. Ihre Befürworter erhofften sich davon Vorteile in der Systemkonkurrenz, die auch für und in einem 'heißen' Krieg zum Tragen kommen sollten. Der Vortrag beleuchtet mit dem Verdeckten Kampf ein Konzept der Bundeswehr für den Zwischenraum zwischen Krieg und Frieden, das Desinformation und Propaganda der DDR in militärische Kriegsimaginationen übersetzte und die Bundesrepublik dagegen resilient machen sollte.<br /> <br /> Referent<br /> Carsten Richter ist Historiker mit dem Fokus auf Militär- und Gewaltgeschichte. Er koordiniert als ziviler Experte am Zentrum Operative Kommunikation der Bundeswehr die Abwehr ausländischer Informationsmanipulation und entwickelt sie auf wissenschaftlichen Grundlagen weiter.
