An open mic and safe space for poetry and stories of all kinds, in Nashville, Tennessee since April, 2017. Family friendly, and all languages welcome. Hosted by multimedia artist and writer, Amy Hoskins (www.amyhoskins.com). Amy is creating with disabilities from her home studio in South Nashville. On the fourth Saturday afternoon, January through October, we hold Gestalt Poetry Open Mic. Each open mic has a feature poet who performs for 15 minutes. Before and after the feature, there is time for fellow poets to share. Gestalt comes from a line in Amy's poem Summer Thicket. Melodic Gestalt.
