EP27 Outside Richie comes to Alishan! Is this the Alishan we thought we knew?
From India, Bangladesh, and Bhutan to countless borderlands and urban corners around the world, Outside Richie has carved out his own way of traveling—guided by his footsteps and his camera. In this episode, we talk not only about how his journey around the world began, but also how, through cultural shocks and unexpected encounters, he’s learned to truly understand a place. Back in Taiwan, Richie turns his lens toward the misty mountains of Hotel Indigo Alishan. Which moment during his stay made a world traveler pause and take it all in? And why does Alishan feel so different from what we usually imagine?
Richie also shares his own “Richie-style” way of exploring Alishan—how he would plan a three-day, two-night trip, and which scenes he believes must be seen with your own eyes and captured by hand.
After seeing so much of the world, what does travel really leave behind?
This episode just might reshape the Alishan you hold in your mind.
