About Get It Whacked! The Macclesfield Cricket Club Podcast
An ECB award winning cricket podcast featuring players and characters from Macclesfield Cricket Club, who play in the Cheshire cricket leagues in England. Macclesfield Cricket Club also has a long association with various professional players and coaches from the UK and Australia and we look forward to bringing them on the podcast soon!
In September 2020, Get It Whacked was the recepient of a NatWest OSCA for proactive leadership in the community.
Today's guest recently made his international debut for Bulgaria at the ICC associate nations T20 competition in Sophia. A product of the Macclesfield academy, he captained his age group during his junior years before making his deubt in senior cricket. Something of a perennial student, he is guilty by association for his Mum's sandwiches. Ladies and Gentlemen, Mr. Aswad Khan.
I would also like to take the time to thank Aswad very publicly for not only a fabulous podcast discussing his cricketing career, but for wanting to talk about the recent scandal at Yorkshire Cricket Club involving Azeem Rafiq and the subsequent issues of racism, not only at Yorkshire, but across the whole game. Aswad is a proud British Pakistani and it takes an incredible amount of courage and candour to tackle these issues so openly, discussing not only issues that present themselves in every day life, but very much his own personal experiences.

Get it whacked! Macc CC - Episode 46
Today's episode is the next in our series of 'Around the county' featuring 2 gentlemen who have appeared for Nantwich Cricket Club and combined 500+ times.
However, before we go any further, a slight caveat that this episode was recorded in March of 2021 so the time lines you're hearing in relation to the start of a season are for the one just gone...!
That being said, it gives me great pleasure to welcome Mr Ryan Brown and Mr Jimmy Warrington to the podcast! Enjoy.
Thank you for your continued support of the podcast. Since the debut episode in March 2020, we have amassed over 11000 unique downloads from over 24 different countries, including 1 very dedicated listener from Sweden! To say the podcast has developed quicker than I thought it would, would be an understatement. As such, I would like to offer listeners the opportunity to become more involved with the podcast by becoming Patreons. The podcast is currently self funded, and with your help, I would like to continue to develop the quality and content. For anyone interested in this, please visit www.patreon.com/getitwhacked

Get it whacked! Macc CC - Episode 45
Get it whacked is back with a bang for season 3! On today's episode, we welcome yet another member of the Moores cricketing family dynasty, which seemed a very appropriate place to start for the 3rd series. Known for his gritty batting, smart glovework and red hot speam, ladies and gentlemen, it's Mr. Mitch Moores.
