About Get Schooled with Mr. S, A Teacher's Podcast
A podcast hosted by Keith Stefanek, where he will discuss the issues he faces as a public middle school math teacher in Massachusetts. He will discuss hot button issues of teaching during the time of COVID, the advantages and disadvantages of Common Core, teaching toward standardized testing success or for students learning and more.
Often teachers face challenges getting students to engage and learn the subject matter especially when there is a perceived notion that the subject is "difficult" or "boring". What can teachers do to break those notions and have students achieve success in the classroom?
Meet Chris Visco. Chis is a retired public High School Earth Science teacher from Sachem Central School District and current Suffolk County Community College professor whose career spans 41-years. It is unmistakable the passion and mastery Chris has for the Earth Sciences. You will hear some of the techniques Chris used in the classroom to help his students achieve good test scores and most importantly master the subject matter.

Ep. 4: LEGO® by the Sea
A great way to contribute to the overall education of a student is through extracurricular programs. Teachers can build stronger relationships with students and apply what they are taught in the classroom to real world and fun applications.
Kevin Husson from the Howe-Manning School in Middleton, Massachusetts has done just that as he takes LEGO® to the next level.
