Welcome to Get Serious; Our new series of podcasts where we talk to a wide variety of interesting people about leadership. Today in our inaugural podcast we are privileged to speak with the Managing Director of world leading hifi company Linn Products Limited - Gilad Tiefenbrun (@linngilad).
In 1973 Linn produced the iconic LP12 otherwise known as the Linn Sondek turntable. Up until the LP12 the conventional wisdom was that speakers were the key to sound quality. Ivor Tiefenbrun, founder of Linn turned that idea on its head, proving that it was the source that was the most important component and that information lost there could never be recovered.
Ivor’s son Gilad joined the company in 2003 and led it into the digital age where it is now leading the field in music streaming.
Gilad talks about his background, early career and how it influenced his management philosophy. He also discusses challenges and crises he has experienced over the last 17 years and why resilience is very important in troubled times.
