Hindu Kush
Organi Grower looks first at the origins of the Hindu Kush strain, origins that go WAY back. It’s widely-considered a landrace cultivar, something that’s been growing without genetic manipulation for thousands of years. Hindu Kush marijuana is old-school, and then some. The origins help inform how best to manage a Hindu Kush grow. Parker explains how it evolved in the wind-swept Kush mountains bordering Afghanistan and Pakistan.
A fact evident in it’s robust, compact frame. Being 100% indica, it will tend to bush out, but while super cropping is always an option, Parker recommends lollipopping and regular trimming to get the most from Hindu Kush, indoor and out. Despite it’s hardy upbringing, Parker reveals Hindu Kush weed performs better in an indoor grow. More specifically, a hydroponic Sea of Green.
If this is too advanced, you can of course opt for soil-grown Hindu Kush - doubly recommended if you’re a beginner. And what about harvesting Hindu Kush? Any tips on better yields? Leaving it in veg a week or two extra can help the lower branches develop, increasing the number of bud sites. Trimming and topping will also be crucial to bigger yields.
If you’re a big fan of good-looking weed, weed with super-sexy bag appeal, this cultivar should be right up your street. Lower the temp a little towards the end of flowering and the reward will be deep, velvety purple colorations. A gorgeous blush that highlights the abundant trichomes and resinous pores.
